My passion for hair began as a child when I used to admire my aunt doing hair and how amazing she was at it. Fast forward, I’ve now been behind the chair for 16 years and my passion for hair is still full steam. With countless education classes, including Blonde Expert, Master Colourist, and Advanced Cutting, I still strive to learn more and be better. I am a single mom to twin girls with an active busy lifestyle. I love showing my clients how they can achieve the looks they want while being able to maintain for multiple days thus adding extra time to their busy lifestyles as well! Offering 10 mins colour services and weekly blowouts, being busy doesn’t mean you can’t look glam!
Jesse
Jesse Marriott started his career at Utopia Hair & Lash Studio back in 2004 and quickly established his passion for the industry. Knowing that education is the true backbone of a strong career, he attended as many classes as he possibly could, the stepping stones to achieving the talent he has evolved. This also led him to become a platform artist and master educator for Hotheads® Hair Extensions, travelling all over Canada sharing his knowledge and inspiration. Behind the chair in his home at Utopia Hair & Lash Studio, he works as a senior stylist, colourist and extensionist.

I started in the industry because I have a passion for beauty and for making people feel good about themselves.
I love the colours. There are so many options and things you can do that I could never get tired of it. Outside of the salon, I love makeup, video games, and I’m relearning the joy of cooking.

I have been with Utopia since the beginning of 2019, and I’m the newest member. Though I am new, I am always excited to learn new and exciting techniques to stay on top of the industry’s latest trends. I chose to do hair because I’m a very hands on person, and I love to interact with people. It is the best feeling to make clients feel beautiful and empowered! my favourite service is definitely highlights. It’s such tedious work and I love the creative freedom it allows. Outside of work, I love working out, yoga, and getting together with friends. come visit me!!

Kat has been with utopia for 7 years now. She is a blonde specialist, color fanatic, @evohair educator and lover of all things hair! She drinks way too much coffee, has a ridiculous shoe collection and an obsession with dogs - especially her own.
